Can I have my .jpg as the whole label?

I currently make my labels in Photoshop. They match the cover of the DVD that I produce. I have 2 questions:
  1. Can I just import the .jpg into a blank template? I want my jpg to be the whole label.
  2. Does Lightscribe print in full color or just duotone?

  1. The LS Temple Labeler and all other labeling program accept just about all graphic Image files.
  2. All labeling technologies just do grayscale on whatever color disk you select.

How do you get it to accept a .jpg picture as a template? I've tried everything, and for some reason, it won't open my .jpg pic so that I can use it as a template.

If you are using Lightscribe Template Labeler as your label making program one easy way is to select your jpg as the "add image" item to an existing template that does not contain a background image and then simply save it as a label. If the Labeler won't open your chosen jpg image it is probably not compliant to the jpg or jpeg specifications. Make sure you are not saving the Photoshop image as a Photoshop project file thinking it is a jpg (compliant) file. What is the file extension of your saved Photoshop image?

A JPG File is just an Image Item to the LS TL.

If you select any template that accepts an Image Item & just don't include any other Images or cahng any Text Items, all you will get is the 1 Image you included.

The TL will NOT accept a GIF File, but you can use JPG just fine!

Yes! You can use a blank Template and insert a jpg and your jpg will be the entire image.

For the LightScribe Template Labeler you'll want to size the images to 1200x1200. If you are using the LightScribe Simple Labeler resize to 2773x2773.
