Hi Everyone !

I was doing some experimentation with Image File Formats & the LightScribe Template Labeler.
I found the LS TL will NOT allow use of GIF Image File Formats & will NOT allow selection of this File Type.
It will ONLY allow Image Files to be BMP, JPG, or PNG File Formats!
PNG & GIF File Formats are the ONLY ones which support Transparent Backgrounds!
So! a GIF Image File MUST BE CONVERTED to one of the other formats or it CANNOT be used!

But that's okay, right?

I mean if you want to achieve transparency on a LightScribe disc all you have to do is make that spot White. LightScribe writes in grayscale, so it will only write the blacks.

Basically the answer is YES, but for TRUE TRANSPARENCY that allows a background to show, you have to use a PNG File & keep re-entering it everytime a saved LSL File is used!
