LightScribe Forum : Open Topic - General Questions : Label burning is very, very slow

I want to know if everyone has experienced that burning a label takes so much time. I tried to burn 3 copies i.e. three dvd's. But instead the loaded dvd was burned three times at once. The result was very good, but it took more than 70 minutes before the burning was ready.
Normally, if I burn data on 3 copies of a dvd the cache opens up after the first one and asks for the second one. But burning a label with "3 copies" checked, meant that one dvd was burned three times. Burning a label only once resulted in a faint readable label not to be compared with the labels the advertisements show.
I normally have to burn labels on about three or four dvd's a week. In this way it means I need about 4.5 hours a week to burn only labels. That's completely mad!
I anyone knows how to speed up I would be very grateful!

Hi Berntet !

I am not sure, but I think this happened to me.

I was only trying to do 2 copies and set that as the option.

I was not asked for the second disk to be mounted and it did take longer to do the label.

I have not done this again for other reasons, but I had to do the second disk in a separate run and it did come out lighter.

At the time, I just thought I did something wrong.

With your report, I think it is the same problem with the program!

If that is true, it should be fixed!

Hello again Berntet !

I thought you were talking about the LightScribe Template Labeler!

It sounds like Nero 6.6 and the LS TL may both have the same problem.

I'll have to try both Nero 9 and the LS TL to see if they fixed the problems.

If they have not been fixed, I'll have to report them!!!!!

So far I have tested the LightScribe Template Labeler (which I use exclusively) and it asked for a second disk!

I just finished testing Nero 9.

The first attempt didn't label for some reason, but it did ask for a second disk.

I dry cleaned the surface of the label area (I have been using disks that labeled before but did not accept DATA correctly).

I reused the disk, and it labeled correctly, but was, as expected, lighter than the disk I burnt twice with the LS TL.

The problem you described has to be with Nero 6.6 or less probably with XP.

If the LS TL or Nero had a problem making more than one copy, I would say it has been fixed.
