I, for one would welcome them, as I'm sure MANY others would.

To my understanding, the problem is the LightScribe coating and its metal content, or so I get the reason.

Commercially, a lot of white products use Titanium Dioxide ( even toothpaste).  So it might be possible???!!!?

Some of us have suggested how color might be done!

If you come across any, A LOT of people in this Forum would like the news!
