I am using LSS 1.18.22.2 (from HP for my elitebook 8540w), LS Template Labeler 1.18.24.1, and LS Diagnostic Utility 1.18.24.1.
My optical drive is running through a USB 3.0 port.
I am getting the following error when attempting to print the label:
"Runtime error ! This application has
requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact
the application's support team for more information."
I have uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled to no avail. What is odd is the Diagnostic Utility reports "Status: OK" with "no LightScribe configuration problems found." It also correctly identifies my drive and reports "Media Imaging Parameter : 116."
Yet, I still cannot print the label on an HP LightScribe DVD.

The LSS should also be version 1.18.24.1!
They are a MATCHED SET!
Try that & see if the problem goes away.
