I've run the Simple Labeller before with no trouble, but that was on a different laptop (but same cd-writer) running XP Professional.  Now I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit, and the Template Labeler is running ok until it's time to start printing, then it hangs (the progress meter never gets past 0%) until, in the fullness of time, Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable pops up a notice that the program asked it to terminate the labeler anomalously.  (paraphrasing, but really close.)

I haven't tried to use the Simple Labeler because it won't let me import the text I've saved to a template.  Having to re-type several fields repeatedly is my breaking point.

Has anyone else encountereed the same problem?                                                                       Anyone know what might be the cause?

I thought that there might have been an acquired registry or other config error in the C++ redist., so I tried uninstalling it, then reinstalling.  Windows update doesn't help much here;  it offered me a security update for the redist., which installed without giving any error, but it never explicitly offered to reinstall the redistributable de novo.

In any event, the Template Labeler was not impressed enough to change its behavior in the smallest detail.  And the Lightscribe diagnostic never found any problem with the installation.

TIA for any help.
