Everytime I work with LightScribe I wonder why a company like HP well known for it's printers doesn't make CD/DVD printing technology to be seen in the operating system as a generic printer. I think it would be great that LightScribe drive would behave as a printer which would allow LightScribe printing virtually from any application. There are printers that can print to a printable side of CD/DVD, in my opinion it would be really cool to have a printer driver for the LightScribe drive. The driver itself would consist of some framework able to reformat the printing task to a LightScribe image and some application that would be able to preview the printing and even move or resize the layout of the image in the optical media printing area so the user can fit the image on the CD/DVD.
Please, think about it, dear HP. Thanks.

Well sorry to say this but pretty soon CD's will be no longer needed , everything is going more towards storage sticks & cards ... No one wants to invest in CD technology anymore --- even all of the stores & outlets are beginning to lower their stock on Cd's
