I keep getting the following error message, "An error with the selected lightscribe drive has occurred. Please restart the lightscribe simple labeler and try your label again.
If this error occurs again, please restart your computer (and external Lightscribe drive, if you have one, and try your label again.
(4225)
I've tried restarting several times and still get the same error message. The drive writes to the DVD and reads the DVD but, would print? Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks,

I have also tried SEVERAL times to restart my MAC as well as re-install the software. Nothing seems to work. I tried your link, but I don't think it pertains to MAC. I am beginning to think there is something wrong with the drive.
The lightscribe software has worked in the past. But I can't get it to work now. What can I do???
Watch it be something really simple and stupid?? (I hope!!??)
Please help!!

Error 4225 is almost always a communication error that is frequently caused by an application running background (even though you aren't using it at the time) that is using resources required by the Lightscribe function. (ITunes, IMovie, etc are frequently the culprit) You have to try to identify it by trial and error. In your case I would start with the applications you have installed since Lightscribe last worked.

FIX FOR 4225 ERROR
Like many of you, I had this very annoying 4225 message error and spent hours on the web trying to find a fix. My computer was working fine before I added a secondary hard drive. This is how I fixed the error:
- My DVD ROM is an internal LG GH22LS50 sata and I understand that sata can create problems, so I have changed in motherboard configuration setup from SATA to IDE.
- I then switched off my PC and swapped the SATA cable for the secondary har drive to the slot of th DVDrom and the cable for the DVR rom in to the slot of the secondary hard drive
- I restarted the PC and it now work like a charm
Hope it helps someone.
