hi, I have just bought a Brand new External light scribe dvd drive and when i burn stuff, it comes out to light. i have been using gold disks and i have changed the settings in the control panel to darker setting. please help!

i think EVERYBODY has that! i have adjusted contrast brightness and found if i burn twice @ normal i get ok results

I found that using the lightscribe software, it didn't matter how many adjustments I made, the results were always too faint so I tried another software, SureThing CD-DVD Labler Deluxe and the results this time were excellent. The labels it scribed were perfect !

I use Adobe Photoshop to increase the Contrast in my photos first, then I insert them into the LS Template Labeler. The photos look terrible on my screen, but they turn out much better on the actual LS discs. On LS discs we don't have a full white to black range, so I take everything that I can get.
In Photoshop when I drastically increase the Contrast of my photos I try to have some parts of the photo be light enough to turn out "white" in LS or in other words empty, or blank. And some parts of the photo to be "black" or in other words full or as dark as its going to get.
I am very satisfied with what I have made so far. I plan to make many many more in the future.
