Printing error - printing all swirly
Is this a software or hardware issue? It is not supposed to be all swirly like that obviously
Please help! Thanks
Hi Kamila !
No, it is not supposed to look like that!
The problem is "Hardware" related.
Either your drive or the media is not getting the disk Position or Timing correct.
Try another disk, but clean the disk first.
Clean the HUB AREA of the disk as well as you can.
The HUB AREA contains marks that are used for Media Detection (Being done correctly or it wouldn't have burned), Positioning, and Timing.
One of the last two or even both could be the cause.
If the second disk doesn't do the same thing and labels correctly, it was the first disk.
If it continually smears, it is most likely the drive that's out of calibration.
Hi Lou !
If the drive is still under warrantee, the best thing is to take it back to where it was purchased and let them decide whether to fix it or replace it.
If the warrantee is expired, a place like Best Buy, which tends to have the equipment, can recalibrate the drive for both DATA and LABEL.
